This page describes how personal data is handled on priipfold.com and in correspondence with us. It is short because there is little to describe.
Who is responsible
PRIIPfold is the controller for the personal data described here. We are based in Stockholm, Sweden, and the address for anything on this page — including any of the requests set out below — is hello@priipfold.com.
What this website collects
These pages are static files. They set no cookies and there is no form on the site, so nothing you type reaches us here and nothing is stored on your device by us. One script runs, and it counts page views; it is described in the next section, and it is the only thing on the site that records anything at all.
Delivering a page still needs your browser to make a request, and that request carries your IP address to the hosting provider that answers it, along with the technical details any browser sends. That is what serving a page consists of, and the provider handles it in order to answer you and to keep the site up. Who does the hosting, and where, is set out on the sub-processors page.
Hosting is provided by a company established in the United States, so the request data described above may be handled outside the EEA. The safeguards that apply to it are the ones in that provider's own terms.
The page-view count
We count page views with Fathom Analytics, run by Conva Ventures Inc. in British Columbia, Canada. One script, loaded from cdn.usefathom.com, reports that a page was opened, which page it was, and which page or search sent you to it. It sets no cookie. It writes nothing to your device — the one value it is able to store is a flag saying you have opted out, and it writes that only if you ask it to. It does not fingerprint your browser, and it does not follow you to any other site.
What it processes on our behalf is your IP address and the user agent string your browser sends with every request. Fathom's data processing agreement of 20 June 2025 sets out what happens to them. For visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, the IP address is turned into a one-way salted hash on servers inside the EU, before it reaches any infrastructure Fathom operates in the United States, and the salt is replaced every day. The same agreement commits Fathom to holding the personal data it processes for us for no longer than twenty-four hours. Fathom's own sub-processors are listed on our sub-processors page.
What reaches us is a count, and it stays a count: pages, referrers, countries, a number against each. There is no row in it that is a person, no advertising network in it, nothing sold and no profile built. We look at it to see which pages are read and what brings people here, which is the whole of the interest we have in it.
If you would rather not be counted, send Do Not Track. The script is installed with Fathom's own setting for honouring it, so a browser that sends the header is not counted, and any tool that blocks the script has the same effect. Nothing on this site behaves differently either way.
If you write to us
When you email hello@priipfold.com we hold your message, your address and whatever you have chosen to put in it, so that we can read it and answer you. If the exchange continues, the thread is kept with it. Email passes through the mail providers on both sides of an exchange, as all email does.
Your address is used to answer you and for nothing else. It goes on no mailing list, and it is passed to no one. Nothing here asks for special category data — health, beliefs, and the rest of the Article 9 list — and there is no reason to send any.
The lawful basis
Correspondence is held on the basis of legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The interest is a plain one: reading and answering a message that was addressed to us. Where an exchange concerns a possible agreement between us, Article 6(1)(b) — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract — applies to it as well.
The page-view count rests on the same Article 6(1)(f). The interest there is knowing which of these pages are read, so that the ones that are not can be rewritten or removed. It is measured in a form that identifies nobody, and it can be declined by any reader who would rather not be in it, which is what keeps that interest ahead of yours rather than the other way round.
How long it is kept
The page-view count is kept as a count, with no expiry on it: it is a set of totals, and the personal data behind it is gone within the day, under the limit described above.
Correspondence is kept while there is a reason to keep it: while an exchange is open, and afterwards so that a conversation can be picked up where it was left. It is reviewed periodically, and what no longer serves that purpose is deleted. Ask us to delete your correspondence and we will, apart from anything we are separately obliged to retain.
Your rights
In respect of personal data we hold about you, the GDPR gives you these rights:
- Access — confirmation of whether we hold anything about you, and a copy of it.
- Rectification — correction of anything inaccurate, and completion of anything partial.
- Erasure — deletion of what we hold.
- Restriction — a pause on our use of it while something about it is being settled.
- Portability — a copy in a commonly used, machine-readable form, where that right applies.
- Objection — an objection to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, which is the basis set out above.
To exercise any of them, write to hello@priipfold.com and say what you want. We answer without undue delay and within one month, the period the GDPR sets. If the correspondence itself does not make clear who you are, we will ask — and only for what is needed to be sure we are answering the right person.
Complaints
If you think your data has been handled wrongly, tell us and we will look into it. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Sweden that is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY). You may instead complain to the authority in the EU or EEA country where you live or work, or where you say the problem arose.
